Behind closed doors we’ll tell ourselves anything to get out of being in the “hot seat”.
One of those things is: “I’m weak for asking for help.” Or “I’m a failure because I can’t figure it out myself.” These are limiting beliefs.
The only thing these types of statements serve is to preserve the current state you are in.
So, take a look around. What kind of state are you in? Are you happy? Are things going the way you’d like them to go?
I get it…self preservation is vital, but at what cost? Is your ego more important that your happiness? Than fulfilling your dreams? Than having love in your life?
Lots of questions.
Here’s the reality. The only self-serving purpose that limiting statements like these provide is stagnation. We can get comfortable in misery because it is predictable to us, we know it, it’s routine.
Change is difficult, uncertain, and surprising.
Change is growth, going into unfamiliar territory, unpredictable.
Change leads to places.
Change creates opportunities.
So, are you open enough to take advantage of help?
